Very sensitive skin can be difficult to care for and the best solution is to use the gentlest skincare, avoid irritants and keep things simple.

Our skincare advice and product recommendations

Treatments

Sensitive skin on the face should be handled carefully. Avoid exfoliators and stick to cool water when cleansing, rather than very hot or very cold water. Sensitive and rosacea-prone skin can benefit from applying a thick layer of our Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask as often as needed. The blend of botanicals – including borage and comfrey – have been specially chosen to replenish, calm and condition skin.

Other useful advice

  • If you have very allergy-prone skin, it may also help to pay attention to what you are eating, as some foods can be allergy triggers and can further aggravate sensitive skin.
  • Minimise your exposure to common irritants such as fragrance and synthetic sunscreens, and if your skin is really suffering, avoid fragranced hairsprays, body sprays and air fresheners.
